Logistics Supervisor

The Logistics Supervisor will lead Production Scheduling/Warehouse & Shipping processes for the Fairburn Plant.
The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of scheduling product runs consistent with demand as determined by jointly working with Division Planning.
He / She must demonstrate the ability to complete production orders and ensure daily schedule attainment.
This includes developing monthly production schedules that are updated as needed based on product demand.
In this role, the supervisor will be responsible for creating best in class performance within the warehouse which includes leading 12 hourly employees.
In this role, the successful candidate manages and oversees all shipping operations in a manner that maintains the plant's safety, engagement, cost, productivity, efficiency, quality, and customer service.
This position reports directly to the Plant Operations Leader.
Responsibilities 1.
Live the Safety stand, adhere to the safety responsibilities.

Responsible for all aspects of the Production Planning, Scheduling & Warehouse Processes.

Ensures daily coordination with Division Planning in setting production schedulesDrill down into individual line requirements based on product mix and machine capabilityConvert planned orders into production ordersLoad schedule worktables and display a production scheduleGenerate necessary reports to identify exceptions to include Production Order Checking Schedule AttainmentDevelop new schedule STO processingManages daily Warehouse and Shipping operations to ensure on-time and efficient delivery and customer satisfactionLead operations and 12
personnel.
Resource shift in order to meet shipping and customer demands.
Sustain high levels of product quality, with a target of zero SEC's.
Root cause SEC issues and ensure proper controls are in place to prevent future issues.
Communicate expectations and hold team members accountable for delivering results.
Foster an environment that promotes teamwork and inclusion.
Maintain plant housekeeping expectations for the shipping and warehouse areasCommunicate any concerns or issues that occur during the shift.
Hold start of shift huddle to communicate expectationsEnsure that shift employees have adequate coverage for breaks while filling ordersEnsure verification of inbound and outbound freightProcess daily activity reportsHoldcommunications as needed with customer service center, transportation personnel, sales force, regional planningMaintain good working relationship with carriers and customersEnsure effective roll-out of IVC Inventory management systemOversees integrity of SAP Job Requirements
Experience:
Bachelors Degree of a minimum 3 - 5 years' work experience in manufacturing, industrial, logistics or related field preferred.
Strong knowledge of SAP desiredExperience making high-impact decisions in fast-paced environment.
Prior people leadership experience strongly preferred.
Good communication skills to ensure shipping employees understand goals for the shift and expectations.
