IT Help Desk Engineer

Job Description

Century Solutions Group, Inc. is an IT Solutions company providing information technology support and solutions to a wide variety of clients. We are seeking to add a highly qualified individual to our staff as Helpdesk Engineer in our Atlanta or Tyrone Offices.


The ideal candidate will provide excellent support to clients to ensure stable and reliable operation of their systems. This will include providing remote support, configuration and maintenance of network equipment and peripherals. Provide timely and qualitative support. This person will be required to document all configurations, problems and resolutions in detail and provide end user training as necessary. WE solve customer problems and we are looking for those who love to do so as much as we do!!!
REQUIREMENTS
o College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science and/or 3-4 years equivalent work experience.
o Certifications - Current A+ and MCSA 2008 or higher.
o Working technical knowledge of network peripherals and PC operating systems, including Dell, HP, IBM, Adtran, 3Com, Sonicwall, Cisco, and Netgear.
o Extensive application support experience with all Microsoft Products, Windows XP and Vista, Exchange Server, Symantec Anti-Virus and BackupExec, SQL Server and Microsoft Office products.
o Working technical knowledge of current network hardware, protocols, and standards including TCP/IP and Wireless technology.
o Hands-on hardware troubleshooting experience.
o Understanding of the organization's goals and objectives.
o Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
o Strong written and oral communication skills.
o Good interpersonal skills.
o Ability to conduct research into networking issues and products as required.
o Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language to clients or associates.
o Self motivated and directed.
o Keen attention to detail.
o Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
o Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
o Strong customer service orientation.
o Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
o Local Travel is required.
o Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, hand and power tools, and to handle other computer components.
o Lifting and transporting of heavy to moderately heavy objects, such as computers, batteries and peripherals.


Key Skills of the position:



  • Tier 2/3 helpdesk issues


  • Serve as escalation point for helpdesk issues


  • Strong networking and Microsoft skills

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
